Pricing Analyst (m/f/d) Ocean Trade & Pricing Analyst – Import (m/f/d) (req-2022-2871-YF) Start Date: asap 2022 | Full Time | location: Hamburg

The Ocean Trade & Pricing Analyst is a Key support function to Trade Manager and Senior Director Ocean Services. Assist with carrier relations for Ocean Services in conjunction with trade manager and directors of Ocean Freight. Assist to drive new business to JAS by providing best procurement results geared towards growth plans in place and by supporting internal JAS customers (WOT team, Commercial channels and Customer Service teams / Branches) with strategic pricing & procurement solutions and to negotiate and manage the trades in conjunction with trade manager

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• German FCL Import Allocation management and Routing (mainly FEWB)
• Close contact to counterpart in HKG, Ocean Carrier, German Sales & OPS to steer and discuss same.
• Supporting Tender-Team and Ocean Management in regards to rate discussions with Ocean Carrier
• Checking FCL Import Spot Requests
• Compile FCL rate & surcharge matrix as well as vessel list
• Participate in on-site carrier meetings as requested
• Assist Trade Manager to Package and Communicate “Ocean Services Procurement strategy” to U.S. Branches, our Commercial Organization and our valuable overseas network.
• Ensure timely response to all inquiries.
• Assist Trade Manager with special projects and ensure continuous guidance to commercial channels and customer service teams as well as GAM.
• Perform other position related duties as specified by management.
• Ensure adherence to all company policies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Able to perform the essential duties of this position without posing a “direct threat” to the health or safety of self or others.
• Able to interact positively and effectively with co-workers, subordinates and supervisors.
• Three+ years of experience forwarder or shipping industry in operations / procurement.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Power Point.
• English language is mandatory.
