Vice President PEMA / Tax Broker M&A Insurance

• The PEMA Practice develops solutions and helps companies, private equity funds, alternative asset managers, lenders and infrastructure investors manage risks associated with mergers and acquisitions. The PEMA consultants work in the global Marsh organization and the other companies within the Marsh McLennan group to provide its clients with specialist advice, with extensive knowledge of the industry in which they operate.
• The Benelux team achieves double digit growth figures year on year and sees reason to maintain this strong growth for the years ahead. In that context, the team will focus strongly on further growth in 2021/22. An important part of this is setting up the Tax Insurance practice.

In this position you are responsible for:

• You work closely with (international) colleagues and take responsibility for guiding the process from start to finish. Including: preparatory conversations with clients; collaboration with other M&A advisors (lawyers, tax specialists, etc.) on the transaction; and negotiations with the insurer, etc.
• In principle, you do this as a Tax Insurance specialist, but you are also prepared (especially in the start-up phase) to delve into the other solutions that the PEMA Practice offers to manage risks associated with mergers and acquisitions such as W&I Insurance and Contingent Risk. insurance.
• You will also be involved in managing/maintaining existing contacts and expanding the customer and relationship network of Marsh PEMA, specifically in the field of tax law.
• You also play an important role in the development of the Tax Insurance product and you contribute ideas about strategy and process improvements for current and new PEMA products and services.
• Finally, in the field of Tax Insurance, you are a coach and sparring partner for the Benelux team, but also for PEMA colleagues worldwide.

You have:

• Rounded WO study
• 3 – 6 years of experience as a tax specialist, transactions consultant or lawyer within the M&A practice of a law firm with a strong tax affinity
• Familiar with the M&A process documentation (SPA, DD reports, etc.)
• International mindset
